Operating Team

Mr. Scharf is an Operating Partner at Surge Private Equity.  Currently, he is the Chief Executive Officer of Surge’s Contractor Connect LLC and board member of Surge’s All About Learning Press Inc. and Rent-A-Coop LLC.

Prior to his role at Contractor Connect, Mr. Scharf was a co-founder and the Chief Executive Officer of MyClean Inc.  Mr. Scharf founded the business in 2010 and sold it to Surge in 2020.  During that time, Mr. Scharf oversaw every step of the growth and development of MyClean and built an organization of around 200 employees.

Mr. Scharf spent the first six years of his career in the financial markets working on a structured equity derivative desk at Banc of America Securities.  Although working within the larger Bank of America infrastructure, Mr. Scharf describes his time on the Equity Linked Solutions Desk as both his first job out of college and also his first entrepreneurial experience.

Mr. Scharf earned an undergraduate degree in economics from Claremont McKenna College, where he was also a member of the men’s division 3 basketball team.  Mr. Scharf is still an active basketball player who also enjoys tennis, yoga, weight training, hiking and spending time with his family.
