Operating Team

Mr. Fukuhara is an Operating Partner at Surge Private Equity.  Currently, he serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Surge’s Busy Bee Cleaning Service.  He previously ran Effectivo Management Consulting LLC.

Prior to that, Mr. Fukuhara was based in Brazil from 2011 until 2016, executing, as CEO, the successful turnaround of a 250-employee provider of structural composite materials and services. That operational experience, combined with a strong 16-year track record in equity capital markets with top global investment banks in NYC and Sao Paulo, have given him an unique and solid blend of operations, strategy and finance expertise.

Mr. Fukuhara graduated in Computer Engineering from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, received an MBA in Finance from Insper – Sao Paulo and has taken several Executive Education Courses at Harvard, Stanford and Cornell.  He is an avid cyclist and triathlete.
